Comfort & Durability Philosophy
Otis mattresses are engineered to be as comfortable as they are durable. The goal is to provide sofa-level comfort while maintaining flexibility and pressure relief for occasional or nightly sleeping.
Unlike cotton-based futons, Otis uses highly resilient high-density foam (1.8 lb per cubic foot or better). Lower density foams (1.2–1.4 lb) found in other products reduce lifespan and performance.

Standard futon covers are designed for 6" mattresses. Otis true 8" mattresses require a true 8" box-corner cover. Using an undersized cover will alter comfort and make folding more difficult.
