We are very familiar with this mattress having sold it for over 15 years. This mattress is made with two layers of 2" - 1.8 density HR foam and Joy© cotton batting wrapped in an ultra-thick layer of superior New Zealand Virgin Wool. It's a very well made and long lasting futon mattress. It works well with Sofa Style Futon Frames, or Platform Beds. It has a 10 (ten) year manufacturers warranty and we can not recall ever having a warranty issue on this model.

This is a quite firm and dense mattress despite what the write ups say about it's luxurious feel.  It is absolutely not soft, but one of the most firm mattresses we have ever felt.  We have had no problems with uneven compression dips or sags like we have with the Gold Bond 611 Double Foam Core Mattress. The wool is a great insulator. It will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The wool fibers are more coarse than cotton and it wicks away moisture very nicely which makes it a very good choice for use in Humid Climates as well. Most futon mattresses used in Hawaii, (or at least the quality ones), have a wool wrap around them like this mattress.
