Keep Even the Most Stubborn Futon Mattresses in Place
If your futon mattress doesn't stay on the frame properly, you need our improved Super Grip Strip material.
You'll receive a 10' roll of 2" wide material, which typically works for any futon frame. For very stubborn mattresses,
you can order two rolls. (To reduce waste, the 10' length may come in 2 sections.)
Installation Options
Horizontal Installation
Cut the roll in half and install the 2 long lengths horizontally—one on the seat and one on the back.
Vertical Installation
Cut the roll into 4" strips. You'll get 3 strips per foot (30 strips total). Place one strip per slat on the seat and back.
Double strips for very stubborn mattresses.
Why Super Grip Strips Work
These really do work! Many modern futons are plush and difficult to keep in place.
Our Super Grip Strip material is ideal for thick foam or innerspring futons.
Hands down — the best way to keep your futon from slipping around!
The adhesive backing sticks to the slats of the frame, while the polyurethane foam creates friction between the seat and back.
Note: velvet or very slippery covers may need special advice — call us for help.
Advantages Over Other Grip Rolls
- Doesn't look ugly from the back of the frame.
- Doesn't collect dust and dirt between slats.
- Less expensive and more effective.
Super Grip Strip Instructions
Removing the Backing
Roll gently on the foam part in a corner. The adhesive will stick to your finger, allowing you to peel the foam from the paper backing.
Where to Place Your Futon Grippers
On the seat deck: place one strip on each slat, 3"–6" from the front.
On the back deck: place one strip on each slat, 3"–6" from the top.
