The Haley 90 is the softest model in the Haley series — a plush, dense innerspring-free futon mattress made with 14" of high-quality foam and polyester, compressed down to a true 8" finished thickness. Comfort & Durability Philosophy
Otis mattresses are engineered to be as comfortable as they are durable. The goal is to provide sofa-level comfort while maintaining flexibility and pressure relief for occasional or nightly sleeping. The Haley 90 has also helped many of our customers with fibromyalgia by providing support while reducing pressure points.
Thicker isn't always better. Otis mattresses are made with more raw material than their finished size suggests — the Haley 90's 8" finished thickness starts as roughly 14" of compressed ingredients, so it holds its shape and stays comfortable far longer than mattresses that simply start out thinner.
Important Notes on Thickness & Quality
Thickness can be misleading in the mattress industry. Many mattresses are rounded or overestimated for marketing purposes. Otis mattresses use true boxed edges, making thickness measurable and consistent.
More important than thickness is the quality of materials inside. High-density foam and resilient construction allow the Haley 90 to maintain its shape and comfort for up to 10 years.
Grip Strips Recommendation
Super Grip Strips or Super Grip Rolls are required for the Haley 90 to keep the mattress from shifting on the frame. Once broken in through normal use, it becomes easier to manipulate — and will outlast and outperform a thinner, lower-quality mattress that's easier to fold straight out of the box.
Cover & Thickness Guidelines
Standard futon covers are designed for 6" mattresses. The Haley 90's true 8" profile requires a 7"–8" depth cover depending on the manufacturer — ask one of our futon experts for the best match. Using an undersized cover will alter comfort and make folding more difficult.
For households with pets, small children, or allergies, we also recommend a Plush Guard or BedGuard waterproof, bug-proof mattress protector.
