Each year Ashley Brubaker is responsible for holding a Silent Auction, with proceeds going to The Children's Miracle Network. We support Ashley and the work she is doing for the Children's Miracle Network and The Alliance of Premier Hospitals for Children. CMN is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals across North America. Each year the 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind. We donated a $500 Gift Certificate to the 2007 Silent Auction and another $500 Gift Certificate to the 2008 Auction. | Thank you for donating a $500 Futon gift certificate to my silent auction for the Children's Miracle Network. It sold for $450. $10,800, that's how much WE raised during our 4th annual “Ashley's Auction” on August 9, 2008, benefiting the Children's Miracle Network. I say “WE” raised because this was a group effort. It may be my auction, but without people like YOU, we couldn't have topped last year's amount ($5,439). I've attached a picture of me presenting my check to the Children's Miracle Network. The money I raised will be going to the Child Life Program which includes pet therapy (dogs visit sick kids in the hospital), and things to make sick kids feel a little better and make their hospital stay not so sad. Next year's auction will be August 1 at the Susquehanna Valley Mall in Selinsgrove. Items have already started coming in for next year's auction. So, if you're like me and want to get a head start on beating the $10,800 amount, please send your donation now. If we all work together again, we can make $11,000 next year!
