| There are 2 types of Plush Guard™ Protectors. The Plush Guard™ Futon Mattress Protector is a Waterproof covering that's very similar to Protect A Bed or other brands of mattress protectors, but they cover the entire futon mattress with the waterproof terrycloth like material on all sides of the cover, and have a 3 sided zipper. The Plush Guard™ Mattress Protector is a fitted sheet style which fits only the top and sides of the bed mattress or box spring. The protective material is on the top, and the sides of the protector. They are both intended to be used as a protective layer, not a comfort layer. They both have a terrycloth outer lining, and a polyurethane inner lining.
