The Optional Everlast Foundation (or base), is a solid hardwood base that replaces a standard steel bed frame. is a beautiful furniture finished platform that one would be proud to have in their bedroom. This medium-finished foundation is made from Poplar hardwood and has several joists that run across the width of the frame for added balanced support. The pegboard styled top is designed for aeration; this allows the mattress to breath (mold can grow in stagnant or damp room conditions). The height of this foundation is approximately 7 1/2" and can be attached to most conventional bed frames to add height and raise the set off the ground. It is easy to assemble and can be shipped by UPS.
