This is one of the first and most versatile types of futon frames made. We manufacturer these frames ourselves, and we've made and sold thousands of them since we started our business. These were one of the 3 or 4 styles of futon frames that existed. They are American Made, not from China like everything else, they are ready for immediate shipping, and if a slat ever breaks, just send it to us and replace the slat for free. They are sturdy, versatile, and space savers. They convert from a chair, to a lounger, with a knee raise, and completely flat, to a bed. The back can be adjusted into several positions. We suggest a very flexible mattress to use all positions of this frame. If you are only going to use it as a lounger and bed you can use almost any mattress there is. The Classic 6 Layer Futon is a very nice mattress that will work in all positions. They are available in Twin, Full, Queen, California King, and Eastern King. Custom sizes can be ordered. Call for special pricing. Sizes shown below are for the frame only. Upon arrival, the slats will need to be installed. All holes are pre-drilled, and other parts are pre-assembled. A cordless screwdriver is helpful. Please note: We take great care selecting the Kiln Dried Douglas Fir wood that we use to manufacturer these frames. Since this is a natural wood product, you can expect little knots, waning, splits, and other common traits of wood to be present in these frames. None of these are considered a defect, and will not affect the quality or life span of this product. It's not a product made from a mold. Each frame is unique, hand made, and has it's own characteristics.
These frames ship Same Business Day by FedEx, (Depending when you order), and take about a week to arrive depending on your location. The Mattress may take longer to arrive.

The sizes below are for the frame only. We make the frames about 2" smaller in each direction so that that the mattress goes over the edge of the wood about 1" on each side so that you don't hit your leg on the wood.

The distance above the floor with a 6" mattress is approximately 12" in the Bed Position, and 18" in the Chair Position, on All Sizes.
